A messier version of the Slope Applet

You do not have Java Enabled In the diagram to the left you can see how the slope of a line is determined. An important property of the slope is that no matter what two points along a line you choose to use in computing the slope you will always get the same value for the slope.

You can change the points used in the formula by grabbing the corner point with your mouse and dragging it.

If you wan to change the line use the controls below to change either the Slope of Y-Intercept of the line. The X and Y ranges are set in the HTML code to be [-1,5] for both X and Y.
